2006-01-19 [deus-ex-machina]: Make-up foundation! How can you say I don't make sense? You're always arguing over it. God knows, you both need it. I just think it smells pretty. =D
2006-01-20 [Lunnie]: I have a question. Are all rounds elimination rounds or is that a secret too?
2006-01-20 [iippo]: Yes lunnie. :P :P Means yes, they are elimination rounds.
2006-01-20 [Lunnie]: -dances around in a bar of gorillas- Oh wonderful! ;D Thanks for answering. ^__^
2006-01-20 [Anomynous]: Two questions: Do they have to be fantasy characters (e.g. Can I have a NY cop in here?) 2nd: How long does the bio have to be for the first round? Thanks!
2006-01-20 [iippo]: 2) As long or short as you feel necessary, no limits or guidelines. 1) All genres welcome, including modern days.
2006-01-20 [Faulty Limerence]: You never confirmed my question iipo.
2006-01-20 [iippo]: It's sort of a hazy area. I think it reads on one of the pages that the feffing ugly IM-language and leet will not get you far, but people with English as their second/third/f
2006-01-20 [windowframe]: :D feffing is spreading! ^^ Fear the feffage *grin*
2006-01-20 [Lothuriel]: You really need to define what power playing is. I, persoanlly know what it is and despise it. But then, I have been a gammer for 13 of my 30 years of life. Trust me, there are many who don't understand the full effect of what it is or the problems it can cause.
2006-01-20 [windowframe]: Well, since none of them have asked... and if they don't know, then they don't deserve to win anyway ^^
2006-01-20 [iippo]: Our definition of power play is the same as in Role playing for dummies-wiki's definition is. And powerplaying player will not be a good player, and thus not out champion and will be eliminated in the beginning rounds anyway. What we need is loads of the brilliant players to challenge each others.
2006-01-20 [Kyrinn]: powerplayers should be burned. I dont do much table top gaming anymore because the ppl I gamed with turned into powerplayers and spent the session whining about who was stronger. *rolls eyes*
2006-01-20 [iippo]: I thought most tabletops were rule and number or at least dice-based to avoid that. o.O
2006-01-20 [Kyrinn]: nope, [iippo] it doesnt matter whether you use dice. They cheat on their roles, fudge numbers, and bitch to high heaven. The last game I played, one of them wiped out the entire battalion sent to fight us in the first round, then he spent the next half hour gloating. I tore up my character and walked away from it...
2006-01-20 [iippo]: I lived in a very small area where people's main interests were boozing in the park. Anyhoo, here no powerplaying, or there be a nice moose-foot shaped imprint on the player's behind before they can say "I r00l".
2006-01-21 [Anomynous]: Gracias, iippo! I was worried my bio would be too long, hehe
2006-01-30 [Elisha Kelly]: i have a question about power playing... does it include like if someone goes to stab you, then you say it does but part of the dagger breaks off... I mean who has say over a weapon after it pierces the skin???
2006-01-30 [Kai Crewger]: whoever has the next turn. try to leave it open ended like it says, like don't run up to someone, stab them fifty times, draw the weapon out and run away all in one turn
2006-01-30 [iippo]: Easier to think this way: if you stab someone, you don't get to tell what happens at all. So, if the dagger does break (assume you have a skin of steel or summat), you need to describe it, because the other person can't. You are allowed to break other people's equipment, but if you do it impossibly like "your dagger scratches the side of my head and its blade falls off", then it's just stupid playing.
